Magic Report

The Magic Report feature starts a recording mode, which captures each click you make on your website. From those clicks alone, we create a standardized bug report.

Key Features

• Each click adds a reproduction step to the bug report.
• Each reproduction step has its own screenshot with the click position highlighted with a red circle.
• Screenshots are editable. You can highlight important areas or retract sensitive information. Even the red circle is draggable!
• Each reproduction step has a detailed description. We tell you which HTML element was clicked as well as its text contents.
• The bug report is shown inside a rich text editor. Each reproduction step is fully editable.

How to Use Magic Report

1. Start Magic Report:

   • Click on the Magic Report button in our rich text editor.

2. Allow Screensharing:

   • Your browser will prompt you to allow screensharing. This is needed for us to add screenshots to the bug report. These screenshots stay in your browser - nothing is sent to us.

3. Perform the Reproduction Steps:

   • As you go through each step to reproduce the bug, the tool will capture screenshots automatically.

4. Edit Screenshots:

   • After capturing, you can customize each screenshot if needed:
     • Highlight: Emphasize key parts of the screenshot.
     • Draw: Further annotate the screenshot with custom drawings.
     • Retract: Blur or hide sensitive information.

5. Fine-tune:

   • Add extra information to reproduction steps if needed. Or, if you accidentally made a redundant click - just delete the step.
